Be part of an exciting and rewarding evening, shedding light on the extraordinary stories and journeys of the Houston Refugee Community.

We’re also delighted to announce that the event will be hosted by ABC’s Briana Conner.

Briana is a Houston, Texas native and a graduate of Hightower High School in Fort Bend County. She started her news career in Victoria, Texas, and is thrilled to return home to tell Houston’s stories.

She also dedicates much of her time to community and board service. Briana serves on the board of Stages, a local theater. Previously, she served as the Vice Chair of the Winston-Salem Urban League, and she was an advisory board member for the chamber of commerce. Briana also volunteers with the Girl Scouts, The American Heart Association, the local food bank, and loves working with cultural arts centers. She was named as one of the top 40 leaders under 40 and one of the top 40 influential African Americans in the Triad.
