Michelle Shattuck is the Chief Operating Officer at Amaanah Services, where she oversees operations, program implementation, and grant strategy to ensure efficiency, sustainability, and lasting community impact.

A first-generation immigrant and graduate of Sam Houston State University, Michelle’s career is rooted in advancing equity and opportunity for refugees, immigrants, and underserved women. She has led women’s empowerment and entrepreneurship initiatives that provide small business training, financial literacy, and access to critical resources for families seeking stability.

Over the past several years, Michelle has provided technical assistance to more than 500 entrepreneurs, facilitating access to over $8 million in funding opportunities. A Certified Financial Coach and BIPOC Entrepreneurship Trainer, she is recognized for her expertise in program development, capacity building, and inclusive leadership.

Michelle’s thought leadership has been featured in Voyage Houston, Bold Journey Magazine, and CanvasRebel, and she has served as a speaker at the James Beard Foundation Summit, where she shared insights on equitable economic development and community empowerment.
