From placing hundreds of classroom assistants across Houston school districts, to working with individual adults to help them understand their new surroundings, Amaanah’s goal is simple – to support refugees in their effort to build productive and happy lives in America.

CHILDHOOD EDUCATION

Teach 360 was created to provide one of the most critical needs, language proficiency. New arrivals need help to keep up with school. Amaanah provides this assistance.

HIGHer EDUCATION

Our scholarship programs help young people to realize their dream of going to college. Each year, Amaanah spends thousands of dollars on deserving students.

women’s empowerment

Our Big Sisters Circle works with women to provide help in navigating their new city, strengthening their English skills, and pursuing a career.

SPORTS & PHYSICAL EDUCATION

Amaanah Lions is a soccer program for refugee youth in Houston, providing support and mentoring to players with education, finances, jobs and healthcare.
