Supporting Childhood Education

Welcome to Teach 360

There can be no more important investment in the long term prosperity of any child than education. The provision of a practical grounding in language and mathematics is a fundamental right for all children.

Education must be universally available and, where barriers to that education exist, it is everyone’s responsibility to help remove them.

Amaanah’s programs are designed to level the playing field for disadvantaged immigrants, providing additional support and guidance to help them make it through school in their new environment.

Teach 360 was created to support children with one of the most critical elements in their educational journey – the ability to keep up in the public school system.

Language proficiency can be the difference between success and failure, helping kids fit in at school and maintain their progress toward fulfilling and independent lives.

Through the Teach 360 program, we offer tutoring and mentoring services to refugee students inside Houston Public Schools.

  • Houston Independent School District (HISD)
  • Alief Independent School District (AISD)

We follow the kids’ academic journey from elementary to high school. Many of our tutors often come from within the Amaanah community, so they understand the real challenges our Teach 360 students encounter.

In addition, through partnerships with families, communities and schools, we’re working to address other ways we can help bridge learning gaps outside the classroom.

Our goal is simple – to give every child a chance at the education they deserve.
